MIT Technology Review discussed the use of intelligent technologies in HR practices in Asia and Prof. De Cremer commented on the need to have purpose-driven leadership and flat communication channels to ask the right kind of questions with the aim to promote effective use of AI in people management. If we don’t, he argues, we will end up in a full “circle of irony”, where HR management becomes data management as humans are reduced to data points meeting the criteria designed to fit an AI framework.
